Meta tags are pieces of HTML code that can be added to the
section of your web pages. Beyond the page title, the two most popular Meta tags are Meta Description tag and Meta Keyword There are some conflicting views about whether or not to use Meta tags and whether they actually help your search engine positioning. Regardless of whether or not it helps with your search engine positioning, you should use the Meta Description tag because this is what frequently appears below your website URL in the search engine results pages (SERPS). Long-form content is a magnet for long tail searches. The more searchers and visitors you attract, the more you can ‘satisfy’ and the better chance you can rank higher in the long run. Don’t be too focused on creating backlinks, instead focus on the END Goal. Social signals aren’t an important part of the Google algorithm. But social shares on sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ may give you an indirect rankings boost.

Make sure the content is better than what already is ranking for your keywords; provide unique value and a fresh perspective on the topic. Consider your exposure options for your content, and get your content out to as many options as possible.
Make sure your most important information appears before the chop-off point
Search engines can also look at the search history for a given user. Basically, the search engine maintains a log of all the searches you have performed when you are logged in. When someone does a search (called a query) and the search engine checks the index for all the web pages associated with that search, the search engine needs a way to rank those web pages in an order that is useful for the searcher. Although you may now have a fully optimized site, your domain authority is still more than likely not at the range you want it to be at.
