Make sure the article is easy to read, even to those who are new to the topic. Articles that are easy to read will result in less bounce rates and higher conversion rates. Search engines decide rankings on what is called the results page. You will sometimes see me use the term SERP, which is the acronym for Search Engine Results Page. In a Google search, the search engine makes its decisions based on signals from websites and the person searching. Simply put, engagement is the ability to hold a user’s attention. In SEO terms, it is a measure of the amount of time spent on a page. Although Google hasn’t officially declared it, there is evidence to suggest that this search engine giant does reward sites with strong user engagement with higher page ranking. Use keywords relevant to your products and services that your customers are searching for, especially in your Title Tags and internal links.

How to Optimize for Searcher Intent

Target niche keywords with low competition. This involves at least a little bit of figuring out what makes your business unique. A natural link profile has Do your mathematical analysis - the primary resources are there for the taking. Its as easy as KS2 Maths or ABC. Its that simple! variety. The links come from different domains and links will have different strengths. Use attractive subheaders: Readers should be able to bounce around to seek out the pieces of your content that interest them. By using attractive subheaders, you can pique the curiosity of your readers and keep them engaged. Google can, and does, ignore low relevance links. The worst offenders are generic links (“click here”) and even worse, off-topic links.

Create a client reactivation plan

Really good SEO is a process and it requires a detailed and well thought out plan. You cannot expect to execute quality SEO without listing out what you’re going to do, documenting yourself along the way, and executing step by step. Onsite SEO refers to a set of web page optimization best practices that can be applied on your website to improve its ranking in search engine results. You can speed up the process of getting useful links by connecting with content curators. Importance and relevance aren’t determined manually (those trillions of man-hours would require the Earth’s entire population as a workforce). Keep URLs short

Keyword research can prove to be one of the most high return activities, not only in SEO, but in search marketing as a whole. Selecting the right keywords and strategically placing them in key areas of your pages isn't rocket science, but it does take a little time and dedication. The sitemap tells search engines about all the pages on your site, even those that might not be easy to find. A sitemap is very helpful if your site is dynamic or if it has pages with images or rich AJAX that can be hard for bots to discover. It is also helpful for new sites with few links, or sites that have numerous pages not well linked. Sitemaps help search engines do a good job of reading your website and finding your site’s content. Linking out is huge. Don't be a link hoard; you're going to create content, so use it to gain favor with other people. I'll go more into depth below with specific tactics on linking out, but in general, you only have something to gain when you’re linking out. Localize your content for a better experience

When it comes to SEO, monitoring for keywords and changes in your website’s backlink profile is one of the most tedious tasks. There are thus two ways to improve density: either increase the frequency with which certain phrases are used or reduce the overall number of words in the text area. The user’s keywords are typically shown in boldface when they appear in the search results (sometimes close synonyms are shown in boldface as well). For many, SEO seems like a dark art. When it comes down to it though, it’s really about ensuring there are no obstacles to the site being found in search engines. Then it’s a matter of providing the searchers with what they’re looking for.
